What is Sip & Solve?

Sip & Solve is a brand new puzzle bar experience unique to the UK, where you will be able to play 15-minute escape room-style games whilst you have drinks and food. You are welcome to come and play as many or as little games as you like during your experience with us. You are even welcome to just come and have a drink and food too without playing any games.

How do I find you?

We are located at 7-9 Marketway, Portsmouth, PO1 4BX.

Getting here by foot: Walk to the top end of Commercial Road in Portsmouth and follow the road around the corner past Other World Escapes. On the corner, you will find the entrance to Sip & Solve.

Getting here by taxi: We recommend taking an Uber to the NCP Cascades car park. You should be able to see the front entrance from there.

Getting here by train: Get the train to the Portsmouth and Southsea station and then follow the directions as directed by ‘Getting here by foot’.

Getting here by bus: Get any bus that stops at Commercial road, Portsmouth, then follow the directions for ‘Getting here by foot’.

Getting here by car: We recommend parking in the NCP Cascades car park. Here you will be able to park for as long as you like.

What are your opening times?

We are open Fridays 5-10pm, Saturdays 12-10pm and Sundays 12-7pm.

How long should I allow for the experience?

You are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you like. If you are playing any pf our Puzzle Pods, I would recommend allowing a minimum of 20 minutes per Puzzle Pod experience. You are welcome to stay and hang out before/after your experience for as long as you like.

Do I have to book in advance? How do I book?

You are welcome to book via the website by clicking the ‘Book Now’ button at the top of this page, telephone us, or just drop in and book in person. You are not required to book in advance.

Do you do food at Sip & Solve?

Yes. We have a selection of food available onsite to enhance your experience with us.

Is there parking available?

Parking is available at the NCP Cascades car park behind the venue. Unfortunately we do not have any parking onsite due to it being a central city location.

Is Sip & Solve wheelchair accessible?

Yes. We are fully wheelchair accessible and so are all of our Puzzle Pods. We also have fully wheelchair accessible toilets onsite.

Does Sip & Solve cater to hearing and vision impairments?

Yes. We can provide large print text clues, reading glasses and torches can be provided upon request. None of the puzzles are sound-reliant so hearing impairments should not be affected.

Are you an inclusive bar?

Yes. We welcome and accept people from all walks of life. We celebrate this. We have inclusive toilets onsite and welcoming staff.

Note: Abuse of any kind and to anyone will not be tolerated by the management team. If you are deemed to be being abusive in any way, you may be asked to leave without a refund.

Do I have to play games if I come?

Not at all. You are welcome to come and just hang out, have a drink and some food with us or just treat it like your living room. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible.

How do I pay for games?

You can book line using the ‘Book Now’ button at the top of this page, you can call or you can drop in in person.

What do I need to wear?

You are welcome to wear whatever you like. We welcome all people.

Do you provide refunds?

Within 14 days of purchase, we can provide a full refund. Following this, refunds cannot be provided, but we can amend your booking free of charge.

Can we amend our booking?

Yes. You are welcome to amend your booking 1 time free of charge. Following this, there may be a 50% charge for amending your booking.

What size groups do we need to be?

Your group size is up to you. We can cater for any group size from 1 person upwards. We have a capacity of 50 in total for the bar area. 20 players can play our Puzzle Pods at any one time across our 5 games.

What happens if I break something in one of the games?

Anything broken by you will be charged to you. Please be careful when playing our games.

Do you accept cash?

Yes we accept cash and all major credit cards. We also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay.
